WABI SABI BODY is an ongoing celebration

of what we all have in common:

beautiful, functional, perfectly imperfect bodies.

Wabi Sabi is an ancient Japanese philosophy that celebrates nature's simplicity, impermanence and flaws; its perfect imperfections.

Look at a tree with knobby bark and twisted roots, or a flower with slightly asymmetrical petals; there you will see the value of the wabi sabi aesthetic. These natural forms are cherished for their irregularities, not in spite of them. How boring would it be if every tree and every flower looked the same?

The human body a wonderful example of wabi sabi in both form and function. The Wabi Sabi Body photography project aims to celebrate our natural twists, imbalances and asymmetries. Let's learn to value our bodies for these imperfections, not in spite of them.
